St. Francis of Assisi Youth Ministry
Mission Statement
We Are St. Francis of Assisi Youth and
We Believe that youth are a vital part of our faith
community. Our Youth Ministry offers a safe, welcoming and comfortable
place where young people can make and develop positive relationships with
family, each other, our God, and His church.
We Serve one another and all other youth by providing a
place where our social, emotional, and spiritual needs are met. As a
reflection of the love and support that our Lord, parish, and community
have given us, we gladly serve them all through joyful Christian service.
We Offer a variety of fun, interactive, and hands-on
activities that encourage us to understand, appreciate and experience
that we are actively participating in our Catholic faith.

Sacrament of Confirmation for Teens
If
you are interested in the Sacrament of Confirmation, and if you’ll be at
least a sophomore in High School in the Fall of 2010, Parents and
Teens must attend one of the following Parent / Youth meetings
for information and registration:
Monday, August 9th • 7:30
- 9 p.m. • Youth Room
or
Wednesday, August 18th •
7:30 - 9 p.m. • Youth Room
or
Monday, September 13th •
7:30 - 9 p.m. • Youth Room
or
Thursday, September 23rd
• 7:30 - 9 p.m. • Youth Room
Registration packets for Confirmation are due in to the Parish Office no
later than Thursday, September 30th, 2010.

Year One
- Teen Sacraments (7th – 12th Graders)
First Reconciliation and First Communion
Teen
Sacrament Preparation at St. Francis of Assisi is a comprehensive
two-year program that will prepare you to celebrate the Sacraments of
First Reconciliation and First Communion. If you have already been
baptized, and will be in the 7th - 12th grade in the Fall of 2010, you
are eligible for Year One in the Teen Sacrament Program. To register for
this program
Parents and
Teens must
make an appointment and meet with Kathy De Lemos no later than Thursday,
September 30th, 2010.

Year Two
- Teen Sacraments (7th – 12th Graders)
First Reconciliation and First Communion
Teen
Sacrament Preparation at St. Francis of Assisi is a comprehensive
program that will prepare you to celebrate the Sacraments of First
Reconciliation and First Communion. If you have already been baptized,
are in the 7th - 12th grade this fall, and have successfully passed our
Teen Sacrament Year One Program, you are eligible for Year Two in the
Teen Sacrament Program to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation
and First Communion.
To
register for this program
Parents and
Teens must
attend one of the following Mandatory Meetings:
Wednesday, September 15th
• 7:30 - 9 p.m. in the Youth Room
or
Thursday, September 30th
• 7:30 - 9 p.m. in the Youth Room
Registration packets for Year One or Year Two – Teen Sacraments First
Reconciliation and First Communion are due in to the Parish Office no
later than Thursday, September 30th, 2010.
