Fee for Teen Confirmation class is ($200 for first year and $250 for second year)

Requirements/ Requisitos: 

Teens registering this year for the first year, should be entering 8th grade -11th grade  in order to be able to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in May/June 2028. Los jovenes que se registraran para el primer anyo de confirmacion este anyo, necesitan estar en el grado escolar 8-11 para poder recibir el Sacramento de Confirmacion en Mayo/Junio 2028. 

• Candidates should have received the Sacraments of Baptism and 1st Communion (or be enrolled in Faith Formation to receive their First communion) before they register. Los candidatos necesitan haber recibido los Sacramentos de Bautismo y Primera Comunion (o estar registrados en catequesis para recibir su primera comunion) para poderse registrar. 
• One sponsor is required for this sacrament. Please see the links (in important links) for Sponsor Guidelines and Requirements. Este sacramento requiere 1 padrino. Por favor mire "Enlaces importantes" para ver los requisitos diocesanos de los padrinos.
• Teens, Parents, and Coordinators must review and sign the teen covenant (see important links). Jovenes, Padres, y Cordinadores necesitan firmar el Convenio (ver enlaces importantes). 
• 20 hours of Community Service per year that can be done while serving during mass, youth choir, parish festival, and other parish events. 20 horas de Servicio en la parroquia cada anyo. Estas horas de servicio se pueden cumplir durante haciendo servicio durante la Santa Misa, el coro de jovenes, el festival parroquial, y otros ministerios en la parroquia.
• Students will be required to attend mass every Sunday with their families, and to frequent the sacrament of reconciliation on  a regular basis. Las familias y los jovenes necesitan asisitir a misa todos los domingos y fiestas de guardar. Tambien deben frecuentar el sacramento de reconciliacion con regularidad. 
• One Sunday per month, teens will be required to attend the Teen Mass at 11:30. Un domingo al mes, se requiere que los jovenes y sus familias asistan a la misa de los jovenes a las 11:30. 
• Parents will also be required to attend monthly family catechesis sessions. Los padres necesitan asistir a Catequesis Familiar 1 vez por mes. 
• First Teen Mass will be August 24th at 11:30 in the church. After mass, please meet us in the John Paul to pick up mass cards and calendars.Teen Confirmation Classes will meet starting Sept. 7 in the gym First year (9:30-11:00am) and Second Year (11:20-12:50pm). La Primer Misa de los jovenes sera Agosto 24 a las 11:30 en la iglesia. Despues de misa, los esperamos en el gimnasio para recibir sus tarjetas de misa y calendarios. Las clases de confirmacion se llevaran a cabo empezando Sept. 7, 2025  en el gimnasio Primer anyo (9:30-11:00am y Segundo Anyo (11:20-12:50pm).

Thinking of becoming a catechist? All help is welcome. Adult volunteers are essential for our program. All adult volunteers are required to complete a Safe Environment Training Class and be be live scan fingerprinted. Here is the Live Scan form. Please fill out the applicant information and the church information. Here are the approved vendors for the Live Scan. Please contact us if you are interested in serving. We need help in the English First Communion Program, the Confirmation Program, and the Spanish First Communion Program. 

Estan pensando en ser catequistas? Ver video. Toda ayuda es bienvenida. Voluntarios adultos son esenciales para nuestros programas parroquiales. Todos los voluntarios adultos necesitan tomar la clase de Ambiente Seguro y tomar las huellas para la Diocesis de Oakland. Aqui esta la forma que necesitan llenar para las huellas. Y aqui estan los lugares donde pueden ir para hacer las huellas. Por favor contactenos si estan interesados. Necesitamos ayuda en el programa de catequesis en ingles y espanol, y tambien necesitamos ayuda en el programa de Confirmacion (ingles).
